OPTICS360, Boca Raton, FL

This project started with modifying an existing legacy system as a stop gap until a new application could be developed. Terra Systems designed a new application that maintained the best features of the existing system, and added on new features to meet the company’s growth needs. Terra Systems designed the new application and database using the Servoy development platform. The new system manages customer quotes, sales orders, purchase orders, invoicing and inventory for multiple companies and warehouses. The most recent phase of this project involved interfacing the application to the company’s online accounting system.

Lorenz Conveying Products, Cobourg, ON

The client’s operating system was no longer meeting their operational and growth needs. A number of off-the-shelf packages were evaluated and it was determined with the client that building a custom ERP was the best approach. Terra Systems designed, wrote and implemented the ERP framework on schedule within the 5 month deadline. The functionality included customer/vendor management, quotes, sales orders, purchase orders and invoicing. Over the next 12 months other modules and functionality were added including shipping, receiving, inventory tracking, accounting, work orders, packing slips and manufacturing modules.

Walmart Canada, Mississauga, ON

When the regional manager of Walmart Canada first approached Terra Systems, he wanted to be able to quantify the correlation between staff morale and its impact on individual store performance. The expectation was that stores where the staff-to-management rapport was good would have better sales then stores where the rapport was poor. Over the course of a few weeks the idea evolved and a quantified approach was developed for measuring staff morale and its correlation to store performance. The application was adopted by all stores in Eastern Canada.
